Inspiration is the whisper of the muse, a gentle breeze that stirs the soul and sets creativity ablaze. It dances like a flickering flame in the darkness of uncertainty, guiding us towards the realms of imagination and discovery. It's the celestial melody that resonates within, weaving dreams into reality and infusing ordinary moments with extraordinary possibilities. Inspiration is the tender kiss, the awakening of the heart to beauty, passion, and the endless wonders of the world.
Cotidianity is defined as the gentle rhythm of life, where each ordinary moment holds the potential for beauty and meaning. It's in the sunrise that paints the sky with soft hues each morning, in the quiet conversations over a cup of coffee, and in the fleeting glances exchanged between strangers on a bustling street. Cotidianity whispers of the poetry hidden in routine, the warmth of familiar routines, and the magic of finding joy in the simple moments that make up our lives.
Is writing a romantic endeavour?
What about inspiration?
A memory, in all its almost ethereal nature, seems like a veil... Caressing you tenderly with the softness of the past, letting you watch but not quite as it was. It blurs your vision subtly, but enough to romanticize what was.
What's the way out? Is it forwards or backwards? Does the past only exist because we remember it? Is the future the right way because it is new?
It's in these pauses that we can confront our fears and uncertainties, finding strength in our vulnerability. The present, with all its immediacy and urgency, becomes a refuge, a place where we can gather our courage before taking the next step. And maybe, just maybe, it's in this stillness that we find the answers we're searching for, or at least the clarity to move forward with a little less fear.
Could I just stay still a while longer? I'm afraid.
Through living, we understand the context the past carries with him, also how brittle it may be. Our singular experience of life only comes with one point of view, regardless of how sympathetic we are, but because of that, we should strive to know more. Know more about people and their struggles, know about history and how it moulded us, know about art and how it shaped us, know about everything you can from what came before and try to understand it from a different point of view each time.
The future is constantly a tenebrous place to wander in, we are weary of it, even though we plan too much for it. That may be why we linger so much on the past, on the safe things that were, and on the understanding of what was. Maybe that should entice our focus on the present, on what is, and provide context for what will be. Maybe by living more on today, we might be less frightful of tomorrow.
I believe we all have regrets, and throughout our lives, we will continue to do so. Not because we lack decisiveness, but due to an innate lack of foresight about life. We can’t know if our choices are right or wrong, and it is not until the future that we realize the outcome. I think that understanding that the choice you made at a certain point, was the thing you most wanted at that time, is what makes all the difference... And now you’re someone else, who wants different things, who would make different choices, who would pick opposite to who you were. But know who you were, understand him or her or they, because they made the best choice they could… and now, they’re you.
The past has a tendency of taking us by surprise.
I feel as if we can travel through time when we walk between those swirling steps and up those stairs... Architecture lingers in history with its structures remembering who we were and wondering who we'll be.
Art is the best thing we do as humans; in all of its forms, it is a compilation of life, love, anger, raw emotion, history, and politics. It's humanity at its best, even when we're at our worst.
Every brushstroke, every note, and every chisel mark is a testament to our shared experiences, capturing moments of triumph and tragedy alike. As we create and appreciate art, we bridge the gap between generations, allowing the past to speak to the present and the present to inform the future. It's through this timeless dialogue that we find our place in the continuum of human existence, recognizing that while we may be fleeting, our expressions of art endure.
